For nearly a year and a half, I forgot my love, but the one who was determined to do was fulfilled and my dream came true.

Anu's father Baljit Singh is basically a resident of Panipat'sDeewana village, but he settled in Sonipat'sVikas Nagar for the job of HR in the hospital many years ago. Anu's studies from 12th Century are from Sonipat's school. Anu has been a student of Physics Honors of Hindu College of Delhi University.

Anu has also done an MBA from IMT Nagpur. Anu was working in a private insurance company in Gurgaon for the past 9 years, but left job for two years before preparing for the exam. Anu explains that he had already given pre-examination of UPSC, but at that time only the examination method was seen. Now I gave the exam with full preparation.

Anu explains that the job was good, but I was not getting any satisfaction from inside. I wanted to do something for the people, so I decided to complete the dream of clearing the UPSAC. I did not take any coaching and did it by studying myself. Just never left the pursuit of his goal and success got hit.

Anu says that my mother is my role model and I give them all the credit for my success. Although there were some difficulties during the preparation, but the family fully supported it. The friends also stayed with them, supported them in preparation. Constantly encouraged me. The mother inside me was in trouble, but if the goal was made then she would not have left behind.

Anu explains that they are largely self-studied. Due to BSc, there was a lot of subject knowledge. There was also a lot of time left for studies. Made special specialties and practiced online study. That was not so difficult. There was complete faith in success, but did not think about rank. It looks good that the country has achieved second place.

◆ बसंत पंचमी भारतीय संस्कृति में एक बहुत ही हर्षोल्लास के साथ मनाया जाने वाला त्यौहार है जिसमे हमारी परम्परा, भौगौलिक परिवर्तन , सामाजिक कार्य तथा आध्यात्मिक पक्ष सभी का सम्मिश्रण है, हिन्दू पंचांग के अनुसार माघ मास के शुक्ल पक्ष की पंचमी तिथि को बसंत पंचमी का त्यौहार मनाया जाता है वास्तव में भारतीय गणना के अनुसार वर्ष भर में पड़ने वाली छः ऋतुओं (बसंत, ग्रीष्म, वर्षा, शरद, हेमंत, शिशिर) में बसंत को ऋतुराज अर्थात सभी ऋतुओं का राजा माना गया है और बसंत पंचमी के दिन को बसंत ऋतु का आगमन माना जाता है। इसलिए बसंत पंचमी ऋतू परिवर्तन का दिन भी है जिस दिन से प्राकृतिक सौन्दर्य निखारना शुरू हो जाता है पेड़ों पर नयी पत्तिया कोपले और कालिया खिलना शुरू हो जाती हैं पूरी प्रकृति एक नवीन ऊर्जा से भर उठती है।

संत-महर्षियों के अनुसार इसके प्रभाव से प्राणी की आत्मा शुद्ध होती है। संकल्प शक्ति बढ़ती है। ज्ञान तंतु विकसित होते हैं। मकर संक्रांति इसी चेतना को विकसित करने वाला पर्व है। यह संपूर्ण भारत वर्ष में किसी न किसी रूप में आयोजित होता है।

* पुराणों के अनुसार मकर संक्रांति के दिन सूर्य अपने पुत्र शनि के घर एक महीने के लिए जाते हैं, क्योंकि मकर राशि का स्वामी शनि है। हालांकि ज्योतिषीय दृष्टि से सूर्य और शनि का तालमेल संभव नहीं, लेकिन इस दिन सूर्य खुद अपने पुत्र के घर जाते हैं। इसलिए पुराणों में यह दिन पिता-पुत्र के संबंधों में निकटता की शुरुआत के रूप में देखा जाता है।

*  इस दिन भगवान विष्णु ने असुरों का अंत करके युद्ध समाप्ति की घोषणा की थी। उन्होंने सभी असुरों के सिरों को मंदार पर्वत में दबा दिया था। इसलिए यह दिन बुराइयों और नकारात्मकता को खत्म करने का दिन भी माना जाता है।

*  एक अन्य पुराण के अनुसार गंगा को धरती पर लाने वाले महाराज भगीरथ ने अपने पूर्वजों के लिए इस दिन तर्पण किया था। उनका तर्पण स्वीकार करने के बाद इस दिन गंगा समुद्र में जाकर मिल गई थी। इसलिए मकर संक्रांति पर गंगा सागर में मेला लगता है।

* विष्णु धर्मसूत्र में कहा गया है कि पितरों की आत्मा की शांति के लिए एवं स्व स्वास्थ्यवर्द्धन तथा सर्वकल्याण के लिए तिल के छः प्रयोग पुण्यदायक एवं फलदायक होते हैं- तिल जल से स्नान करना, तिल दान करना, तिल से बना भोजन, जल में तिल अर्पण, तिल से आहुति, तिल का उबटन लगाना।

* सूर्य के उत्तरायण होने के बाद से देवों की ब्रह्म मुहूर्त उपासना का पुण्यकाल प्रारंभ हो जाता है। इस काल को ही परा-अपरा विद्या की प्राप्ति का काल कहा जाता है। इसे साधना का सिद्धिकाल भी कहा गया है। इस काल में देव प्रतिष्ठा, गृह निर्माण, यज्ञ कर्म आदि पुनीत कर्म किए जाते हैं। मकर संक्रांति के एक दिन पूर्व से ही व्रत उपवास में रहकर योग्य को दान देना चाहिए।

* रामायण काल से भारतीय संस्कृति में दैनिक सूर्य पूजा का प्रचलन चला आ रहा है। राम कथा में मर्यादा पुरुषोत्तम श्रीराम द्वारा नित्य सूर्य पूजा का उल्लेख मिलता है। रामचरित मानस में ही भगवान श्री राम द्वारा पतंग उड़ाए जाने का भी उल्लेख मिलता है। मकर संक्रांति का जिक्र वाल्मिकी रचित रामायण में मिलता है। 

* राजा भगीरथ सूर्यवंशी थे, जिन्होंने भगीरथ तप साधना के परिणामस्वरूप पापनाशिनी गंगा को पृथ्वी पर लाकर अपने पूर्वजों को मोक्ष प्रदान करवाया था। राजा भगीरथ ने अपने पूर्वजों का गंगाजल, अक्षत, तिल से श्राद्ध तर्पण किया था। तब से माघ मकर संक्रांति स्नान और मकर संक्रांति श्राद्ध तर्पण की प्रथा आज तक प्रचलित है। 

* कपिल मुनि के आश्रम पर जिस दिन मां गंगे का पदार्पण हुआ था, वह मकर संक्रांति का दिन था। पावन गंगा जल के स्पर्श मात्र से राजा भगीरथ के पूर्वजों को स्वर्ग की प्राप्ति हुई थी। कपिल मुनि ने वरदान देते हुए कहा था, 'मातु गंगे त्रिकाल तक जन-जन का पापहरण करेंगी और भक्तजनों की सात पीढ़ियों को मुक्ति एवं मोक्ष प्रदान करेंगी। गंगा जल का स्पर्श, पान, स्नान और दर्शन सभी पुण्यदायक फल प्रदान करेगा।' 

* महाभारत में पितामह भीष्म ने सूर्य के उत्तरायण होने पर ही स्वेच्छा से शरीर का परित्याग किया था। उनका श्राद्ध संस्कार भी सूर्य की उत्तरायण गति में हुआ था। फलतः आज तक पितरों की प्रसन्नता के लिए तिल अर्घ्य एवं जल तर्पण की प्रथा मकर संक्रांति के अवसर पर प्रचलित है।

* सूर्य की सातवीं किरण भारत वर्ष में आध्यात्मिक उन्नति की प्रेरणा देने वाली है। सातवीं किरण का प्रभाव भारत वर्ष में गंगा-जमुना के मध्य अधिक समय तक रहता है। इस भौगोलिक स्थिति के कारण ही हरिद्वार और प्रयाग में माघ मेला अर्थात मकर संक्रांति या पूर्ण कुंभ तथा अर्द्धकुंभ के विशेष उत्सव का आयोजन होता है।
